A Note About The Autumn Equinox & Foodie Guide
The autumn equinox is upon us. Leading up to it, I kept thinking that it was going to be bittersweet because the summer was ending. Although it is in a way sad because the warmer days are behind us again everything has a time and a place and now is the time for warm scarves, hot drinks, fires and hugs.
On the equinox the amount of daylight and night is equal. To me this is profound and helps me reflect and remember that you get to choose between the light and darkness, but to also fully embrace both. Without light there is so darkness and vice versa. To be in the darkness or to feel down is not inherently bad it is just the contrast to lightness. So feel both and then choose and set the intention for what you want in your life.

This video is for Tanja, to say thank-you for the amazing trip this summer. I'm so glad we met and both decided to do the crazy thing of travelling half way around the world 10 years ago!
And so parting at any age brings feelings of sadness and life's unfairness to be so fleeting, for the world being so big and connections with strangers who became friends so sweet. A place and a time can play such a large part in ones life when they don't know how or why this experience came into their life. I can only be thankful and say that it was meant to be.
I'm so grateful for the experience and adventure that came from following my intuition and the inner voice that say's "do it" that urges you in the right direction from deep within. The strong and subtle voice that is more me than anything else. I'm grateful that my friend Tanja also heard this voice and responded. Head the voice that say's "what's the worst that could happen?" - "this life was made for goodness, happiness and adventure". I'm grateful that we got to experience this adventure together - cross paths and open the window into each others countries and worlds. How amazing that when the universe calls you can respond? We don't know how our lives have been affected by each other but I know even small thoughts and ideas from that summer 10 years ago have shaped me..
And so we say goodbye again my friend. We chose a hard life when we chose to travel and open ourselves to new experiences and people, but we also chose a good life!
