Spring in Groudle Glen

Last Sunday the sun popped out on the Isle of Man for a stunning and warm day. Groudle Glen is just around the corner from our place so I decided to put on my "trainers" and get outside to finally feel the warm sun on my face. Walking to Groudle Glen includes a magical journey down alongside of a small creek that meanders past fields, through the valley, under an old victorian stone bridge built for the electric tram, past a miniature water wheel and past the miniature railway. It opens up onto the stunning and hidden Groudle Glen beach.

It was truly warm and as I started walking I shed a couple layers and I ended up in just a t-shirt. A shock for me from the Isle of Man wet and stormy winter we have had. Don't get me wrong I love when the wind howls and the rain comes down in sheets from across the Irish Sea. This day though, was something special. When I ended up at the Sea I walked along the edge and dipped my hands in splashing some of the cold sea water on myself. I could hear the whistle of the small train making it's journey out across the rocks. It was a magical day and ended up being really hot!
